Patient Information to create new revenue for the Trust

The John Charnley Trust has established a trading company that will further develop and expand the concept of Patient Information Centres within other organisations.

All the profits of the company will be gifted to the charity.

Following the favourable reception of the first Patient's Journey at Wrightington, the Patient Information Company will provide similar solutions in a variety of different media to other hospitals and PCTs.

Web and print formats will complement or substitute free standing exhibitions in other centres as hospital trusts move to embrace the Patient Choice initiative and re-evaluate their obligations to help patients make informed choices about elective treatment.

Additionally the Patient Information Company has developed a web-based product , PI Publisher, that allows non technical NHS staff to present printed information in a clear, well designed and coherent manner. Design skills are not needed to produce information leaflets, notices, hand-outs and signage that meet a common standard of layout, typeface and print quality.
